An O3 Air Unit or O4 Air Unit Pro sends the live picture to DJI Goggles 3. Cosmik starts after this connection; it never becomes the flight display.

A USB-C data cable runs from Goggles 3 to the Raspberry Pi 4B. The Pi needs its own power route through GPIO or a compatible PoE HAT.

Control travels from the ExpressLRS radio to the aircraft. Telemetry returns to the radio, and its Wi-Fi backpack relays available readings to Cosmik. GPS appears only when the aircraft has GPS and reports it.

The owner sets live viewing to Off, Open, or Invited. A director, client, spotter, or crew member uses the guest page; owner controls remain password protected.

Save the review recording, inspect the flight log, mark exact In and Out points, add a request, and manage the production queue from the same browser.

Local browsers use the network. A display uses a Pi micro-HDMI output. Configured remote destinations use the network and internet. These are separate paths.

The 3D hardware is an explanatory model, not a port-location guide. Dimensions and connection endpoints follow manufacturer references; the documentation's labelled Pi photograph is the physical connector guide. The micro cinewhoop is a size-and-shape example, not a compatibility claim. Software screens are exact captures where shown.

Cosmik records the link, picture, battery, and available aircraft data once a second, then keeps every track aligned to the same moment in the recording.

Cosmik records the goggles feed as a review copy. A director or crew member can call out a precise section, say who asked, explain why, and leave the request in a queue for production.

Common questions

What buyers need to know.

These answers describe the current evidence baseline. They do not turn roadmap work into a sales promise.

Does Cosmik Streamer need the internet?

No for local viewing, recording, media review, and browser control. Internet is needed only when you send video to an internet destination such as a streaming platform.

Can a client change recording or streaming settings?

Not through the ordinary visitor address. Guests get a watch-only view; the separate owner console is protected by the password created during setup.

Does it replace the original recording on the drone?

No. The current Cosmik recording is a review copy and operational record. Automatic matching from a clip request to the drone’s original media and gyro data is roadmap research, not a current feature.

What hardware is included for $29.99?

None. The decided $29.99 USD launch price is for the software licence only. The Raspberry Pi, storage, power hardware, cables, goggles, drone, and displays are supplied by the customer.

What happens if the Raspberry Pi has to be replaced?

The planned licence includes one replacement transfer. The operational redemption process must be complete before sales open.

Do I need to send a Raspberry Pi Board ID before buying?

No under the current licence design. A new key is issued unbound and binds locally to the first compatible Raspberry Pi where it is activated. Paid checkout and delivery are not open yet.

Will other camera systems be supported?

Broader camera support is a future direction. No additional camera system is being named as compatible until it has been selected and tested.

Is Cosmik Batch Exporter included with Streamer?

It is a separate free desktop utility. Anyone may use it without buying Cosmik Streamer or activating a licence. Streamer can export a shot list bundle that the Exporter opens on the editing computer.
